A beguiling night of melancholic songs, and haunting vocals. An International Women's Day special event!

Australian cabaret chanteuse and musical theatre star, Queenie van de Zandt, brings to you the songs, stories and art of musical legend, Joni Mitchell.

Queenie, along with a live band, reinterprets Mitchell’s melancholy music revealing intimate stories behind some of her most haunting songs including A Case of You, Big Yellow Taxi, Both Sides Now and Little Green.

Celebrate International Women’s Day with us, and be spellbound as Queenie embodies the spirit of Joni: the beguiling Renaissance woman, painter and poet who created a soundtrack for the Woodstock generation.

Audience warnings: performance contains theatrical haze & incense

“...with such sincere heartfelt emotion that it has the audience spellbound for one hour...” - Out in Perth 2018

“★★★★☆ wonderfully moving, insightful and musically luminous...a consistently compelling piece of theatre...she inhabits the great songwriter beautifully” Daily Review

“Queenie van de Zandt...summoned her muse to perfection, with awe-inspiring soul and emotion, in song.” Sydney Morning Herald

“★★★★☆ A beguiling night of melancholic songs, poetic storytelling and haunting vocals...beautifully sung...exquisitely performed...a gently melancholic, poetic show that can speak to anyone regardless of whether you know the material, but fans of Mitchell’s music will find it particularly appealing.” Limelight Magazine
