A magical, musical science experiment that turns people into instruments!

Two scientists take kids on a wild ride where movement becomes music, turning anything and everything into musical instruments. A funny, interactive, all-ages family show exploring the history of sound and music, including the thoughts and feelings behind any toot, ding, dong or symphony, featuring the incredibly exciting technology of Airsticks!

You're An Instrument is an engaging performance for kids aged 5-12. Contrasting ancient acoustic sounds with the very latest electronic technological breakthroughs, this is a fun, magical (and sometimes scary!) performance where the audience shapes the story, shakes their bodies, and makes music together! Framed as a 'workshop gone rogue' this crazy quirky experience is an ideal intro to cutting-edge interactive musical practices, theatre, science, science-fiction and the power of sound art and story-telling. The Travelling Airsticks Laboratory is a group of professional performers and real-life music technology researchers. You’re an Instrument is a fun and inclusive performance perfect for primary school ages & special needs audiences (with their educators, families and community).

The whole school was buzzing after that - thanks for providing such an engaging and fun performance, the kids will remember it for a long time! (- Nepean Specialist School)

Their innovation and their passion towards educating and empowering kids through music making, particularly kids with disabilities, should be supported (- Way Out West Festival)

The show was really cool and also a bit wow! And a tiny bit scary. I liked making noise with the toys. It was fun! (- Evie, a child who attended the show)
