The Third International Watercolour Exhibition
The third International Watercolour Exhibition will be held in the foyer of Central Park Tower, 152-158 St Georges Terrace, Perth.
Top watercolourists from 15 nations will be exhibiting their work for two weeks and as they will not be behind glass, you can get up close and personal, see the brush strokes and flow of paint and marvel at the different styles and techniques used.
Societies exhibiting are from the following countries: Australia (Western Australia, Victoria and New South Wales), France, New Zealand, Indonesia, Italy, Japan, Nepal, Portugal, Canada, Malaysia, The Philippines, Poland, Singapore, Spain and Vietnam.
Added to this will be paintings by 9 acclaimed International Watercolour masters.
The150 paintings exhibited display a wealth of different styles, from the soft and gentle to the bold and vibrant, sweeping landscapes, magical portraits, energetic abstracts, wonderful still life and more.
Venue: Central Park – 152-158 ST George Terrace, Perth
Dates: 9am – 5pm Monday- Friday 10th – 21st June 2024 week days only
Exhibition:
• Paintings from the Watercolour Society of WA
• Paintings from International and Australian Watercolour Societies.
• Paintings by invited International Watercolour Masters
• All paintings will be for sale and may be purchased unframed or framed.
• Popular exhibition bags will be for sale again full of watercolour samples.
Activities:
• Leading Australian watercolourist, John Lovett will hold 5 days of workshops. (Now full)
• A Watercolour Plein Air competition will be held on Friday 31 May throughout Perth See our website for details.
• Plein Air 1st prize $2000 (acquisitive), 2nd prize $1000 (acquisitive), plus 3rd prizes sponsored by Oxlades and more prizes sponsored by Winsor and Newton
• Artists will be demonstrating watercolours in the exhibition and there will be a “try me” table.
• A $5 a ticket raffle of a limited thousand tickets to win a $1000 discount of any available painting/s in the exhibition. Second prize of $500 discount. Add to your art collection for a mere $5!
Catalogue:
• All exhibited paintings will be published in full colour in a catalogue which will be available to purchase during the exhibition, both printed and digital.
